BENNING emergency power systems safeguard substations and power distribution centers for the world’s largest green hydrogen plant.
The world's largest green hydrogen production facility is being built in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Approximately 600 metric tons are expected to be produced there daily and processed into green ammonia for safe global transport.
Electrolysis, nitrogen production, and the subsequent synthesis and dissociation processes require a high, continuous input of energy. A stable and uninterrupted power supply at critical points in the production facilities is therefore essential.
To ensure the reliable operation of substations and power distribution stations, BENNING supplied 17 custom-designed emergency power systems for its production facility in Saudi Arabia alone.
To build these systems, BENNING relied on its proven ENERTRONIC I UPS series as well as the modular rectifiers and DC converters of the TEBECHOP 3000 SE series. Based on these components, customized systems were developed, including bypass circuits, distribution panels, and the batteries required for bridging.
